APPENDIX XIII.

COST OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AT PALLASGREEN GARDA SÍOCHÁNA BARRACKS, CO. LIMERICK.

An Rúnaí,

Coiste um Chuntais Phoiblí.

During my examination on 6th October, 1954, before the Committee of Public Accounts, I undertook to supply particulars of the electrical installations which were provided at Pallasgreen Gárda Síochána Barracks, Co. Limerick at a cost of £226.

The Barracks, a three storey building, is a District Headquarters with living accommodation for a Superintendent and a Sergeant. The works covered the installation of 47 lighting points, 10 power points and an electrically operated pump to raise water to a storage tank for the barracks and two residences. The electrical works at the other barracks referred to viz. Mullinavat (Co. Kilkenny) and Rochfortbridge (Co. Westmeath) were not on the same scale. At Mullinavat, a barracks with married quarters, 21 lighting points and 4 power points were provided, while at Rochfortbridge, a station without married quarters, only 9 lighting points were provided.
