IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.

THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Déardaoin, 18ú Feabhra, 1954.

Thursday, 18th February, 1954.

1. The Committee met at 4.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies P. A. Brady, Carter, S. Collins, Mrs. Crowley and D. J. O’Sullivan.

3. Form of Estimates.

The Committee considered communications dated 23 Samhain, 17 Nollaig and 31 Nollaig, 1953, and 18 Feabhra, 1954, from the Department of Finance (see Appendix XXI) on the subject of proposed changes in the form of the Estimates. The Committee agreed to the proposed changes.

4. Report of Committee.

The Chairman brought forward a Draft Report, which was read the first time.

Motion made (Deputy S. Collins):

“That the Chairman’s Draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.”

Question put, and agreed to.

Paragraphs 1 to 17 inclusive, agreed to.

Motion made (Deputy S. Collins):

“That the Chairman’s Draft Report be the Report of the Committee.”

Question put, and agreed to.

Ordered: That the Report be presented to the Dáil.

5. Conclusion of Business.

The Committee concluded its business at 5.5 p.m.
