1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:


Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies A. Barry, Bartley, J. Brennan, Carter, Mrs. Crowley, H. P. Dockrell and O’Hara.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1952-53.


Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1952-53 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Health, General Register Office, Industry and Commerce, Transport and Marine Services, Aviation and Meteorological Services, Industrial and Commercial Property Registration Office, Tourism and Comptroller and Auditor General.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. P. Ó Cinnéide (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. J. Leydon (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. C. O’Neill (Secretary, Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General), Máire Bhreathnach, Mr. M. Breathnach, Mr. C. J. Byrnes, Mr. J. F. MacInerney, and Mr. J. Mooney (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.
