PROCEEDINGS OF SELECT COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 3 p.m. in Committee Room 106.

2. Present: The Cathaoirleach (Senator Liam Ó Buachalla) in the Chair; Senators Douglas, Hawkins, M. Hayes, Loughman, McCrea, Ó Ciosáin and Yeats.

3. The Minister for Local Government and Messrs. M. Lawless and D. Haughey of the Department of Local Government attended the Select Committee.

4. The Committee deliberated.

5. The Committee adjourned at 4.30 p.m. sine die.
