PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 4 p.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


The Parliamentary Secretary to the Government, Deputies P. Brady, Brennan, Briscoe, Cowan, Gallagher and Kyne.


3. Election of Chairman.


The Parliamentary Secretary to the Government moved:


“That Deputy Gallagher be Chairman of the Committee.”


Question put, and agreed to.


Deputy Gallagher took the Chair accordingly.


4. Admission of Representatives of the Press.


Deputy Cowan moved:


“That representatives of the Press be admitted to all meetings of the Committee.”


Question put, and agreed to.


5. Notice of Amendments.


Ordered: That notice of proposed amendments to the Bill be given not later than Wednesday, 18th March, 1953.


6. Adjournments.


The Committee adjourned at 4.30 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, 26th March, 1953.
