PROCEEDINGS OF THE SELECT COMMITTEE.

Friday, 2nd January, 1953.

1. The Committee met at 2.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Government (in the Chair), the Minister for Justice, Deputies Allen, Colley, Cowan, M. Dockrell, Hillery, Hilliard and T. O’Sullivan.

3. Memoranda from Judges of the Circuit Court and Justices of the District Court.

Memoranda were received from the Judges of the Circuit Court (See Appendix II), and from the Justices of the District Court (See Appendix III) in support of their claim for improved emoluments.

4. The Committee deliberated.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 5.05 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Friday, 23rd January.
