APPENDIX VIII.

DIFFERENCE IN THE AMOUNT ESTIMATED UNDER SUBHEAD T. (APPROPRIATIONS IN AID)—MISCELLANEOUS RECEIPTS—AND THE AMOUNT REALISED.

The difference, viz., £11,000 approximately, was due to unanticipated receipts or increased receipts, the principal of which were in respect of (a) stores supplied to other Government Departments in previous financial years (£4,808), (b) commission on repurchase of stamps used for Newspaper Competitions (£1,603), (c) conveyance of Newspapers by Departmental Motors (£991), (d) refund of Customs duties on apparatus purchased for Civil Aviation purposes (£919).
