THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Friday, 27th June, 1952.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies P. Brady, S. Collins, Mrs. Crowley, Davin, M. E. Dockrell and McGrath.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1950-51.

Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1950-51 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Posts and Telegraphs, Wireless Broadcasting, Defence and Army Pensions.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. L. Ó Broin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Lieutenant-General P. Mac Mahon (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. P. M. Clarke and Mr. J. E. Twamley (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. until Wednesday, 2nd July.
