(3) Every General Council member elected at an election held under subsection (1) or (2) of this section in any election year shall, unless he sooner dies or resigns, hold office until the expiration of the first Monday in April in the next election year. (2) Where a person was, after the 6th day of December, 1950, and before the appointed day, appointed to any office, then, notwithstanding the terms and conditions on which he was appointed, the joint committee may, without assigning any reason therefor, remove him from that office. (3) Where a person is removed from an office under this section, no action or proceedings shall lie against the joint committee or against the Governor or Governors of the Meath Hospital and County Dublin Infirmary in respect of such removal.
