THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present

Deputy Derrig (in the Chair), Deputies Mrs. Crowley, Davern, Kitt, Pattison and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1948-49.

Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1948-49 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Local Government, Lands, Forestry and Gaeltacht Services.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. Garvin (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Mr. W. F. Nally (Secretary, Department of Lands), Gilbert Mac an Bháird (Director, Gaeltacht Services), Mr. M. Breathnach and Mr. J. Mooney (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.50 p.m. sine die.
