IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Déardaoin, 13ú Iúil, 1950.Thursday, 13th July, 1950.1. The Committee met at 4.30 p.m. 2. Present: Deputy Derrig (in the Chair), Deputies J. J. Collins, Mrs. Crowley, Davern, Dockrell, Fitzpatrick, Gilbride, Kitt, Pattison and Sheldon. 3. The Chairman brought forward a Draft Report, which was read the first time. 4. Motion made (Deputy Sheldon): “That the Chairman’s Draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.” Question put, and agreed to. (i) Paragraphs 1 to 8 inclusive, agreed to. (ii) New paragraph. Amendment proposed (Deputy Sheldon): “To insert before paragraph 9 the following new paragraph: ‘The Committee would be glad to be advised whether it has been possible to ascertain the amount of the expenses proper to be charged against the receipts of £6,000 for passenger accommodation and also regarding the terms on which the hostel has been disposed of.’” Question—“That the new paragraph be there inserted”—put, and agreed to. (iii) Paragraphs 9 to 18 inclusive, agreed to. 5. motion made (Deputy Sheldon): “That the Chairman’s Draft Report, as amended, be the Report of the Committee.” Question put, and agreed to. Ordered: That the Report be presented to the Dáil. 6. The Committee concluded its business at 5.30 p.m. |
