THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Wednesday, 6th December, 1950.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:

Deputy Derrig (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, Commons, Mrs. Crowley and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1948-49.

Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1948-49 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—General Register Office, Health, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Technical Instruction, Science and Art, Reformatory and Industrial Schools, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and Stationery and Printing.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. P. Kennedy (Secretary, Department of Health), Micheál Breathnach (Secretary, Department of Education), S. B. Ó Faoilleacháin (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. M. Breathnach (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.10 p.m. sine die.
