SUPPLY OF FOOTWEAR TO NECESSITOUS CHILDREN

At the proceedings of the Public Accounts Committee on the 9th February last, during my examination in connection with the Appropriation Account of the Vote for Miscellaneous Social Welfare Services for 1947-48, I undertook to furnish information as to the number of children who were provided with footwear in that year under the scheme for the Supply of Footwear for Necessitous Children. The number of children so provided in that year was 122, 817.
