IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.

THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Déardaoin, 26ú Meitheamh, 1947.

Thursday, 26th June, 1947.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy Cosgrave (in the Chair), Deputies B. Brady, M. E. Dockrell, Gorry, Loughman, Lydon, M. O’Sullivan and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1945-46 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Agriculture, Agricultural Produce Subsidies, Fisheries, Employment and Emergency Schemes, National Gallery, Dundrum Asylum, External Affairs and League of Nations.

4. Mr. Seán O’Broin (Secretary, Department of Agriculture), Mr. E. J. MacLaughlin (Director, Special Employment Schemes Office), Dr. G. J. Furlong (Director, National Gallery), Dr. G. W. Scroope (Dundrum Asylum), Mr. F. H. Boland (Secretary, Department of External Affairs), Mr. P. O’Kelly and Miss Máire Breathnach (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. The Committee adjourned at 12.30 p.m. till Thursday, 16th October, 1947.
