1. The Joint Committee met at 4.30 p.m.

2. Present: Ceann Comhairle (Chairman); Minister for Local Government and Public Health, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Local Government and Public Health; Deputies Bartley, Coogan, Everett and McCarthy; Senators Counihan, Hayes, Hearne, Kingsmill Moore, O’Dea and Quirke.

3. The Joint Committee deliberated.

4. The Joint Committee adjourned at 5.45 p.m. to a date to be fixed by the Ceann Comhairle.
