IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Déardaoin, 7ú Samhain, 1946.Thursday, 7th November, 1946.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputy Cosgrave (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, E. Coogan, M. E. Dockrell, Loughman, Lydon, Moran, Pattison and Sheldon. 3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1944-45 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Office of Public Works, Public Works and Buildings, Haulbowline Dockyard, Employment and Emergency Schemes, Office of the Minister for Justice, Gárda Síochána, Prisons, District Court, Circuit Court, Supreme Court and High Court of Justice, Land Registry and Registry of Deeds, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Technical Education, Science and Art Reformatory and Industrial Schools and Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. 4. Mr. J. Connolly (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. E. J. MacLaughlin (Director, Special Employment Schemes Office), Mr. S. A. Roche (Secretary, Department of Justice), Micheál Breathnach (Secretary, Department of Education), Mr. C. S. Almond, Mr. G. P. S. Hogan and Mr. L. M. Fitzgerald (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined. 5. The Committee adjourned at 1.45 p.m. till Wednesday, 20th November, 1946. |
