THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Déardaoin, 8ú Feabhra, 1945.

Thursday, 8th February, 1945.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Deputies S. Brady, Breslin, Cosgrave, M. E. Dockrell, Loughman and Pattison.

3. Motion made (Deputy S. Brady):—

“That Deputy Cosgrave act as Chairman of this meeting of the Committee.”

Question put and agreed to.

Deputy Cosgrave accordingly took the Chair.

4. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1942-43 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Supplies, Employment Schemes, Special Emergency Schemes and Comptroller and Auditor General.

5. Mr. J. Leydon (Secretary, Dept. of Supplies), Mr. E. J. MacLaughlin (Director, Special Employment Schemes Office) and Mr. W. E. Wann (Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General), Mr. C. S. Almond and Mr. L. M. Fitzgerald (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

6. The Committee adjourned at 12.10 p.m.
