IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Déardaoin, 5ú Iúl, 1945.Thursday, 5th July, 1945.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputy Cosgrave (in the Chair), Deputies P. Cogan, E. Coogan, M. E. Dockrell, Lydon, M. O’Sullivan, Pattison, and Sheldon. 3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1943-44 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Stationery and Printing, National Gallery, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Technical Instruction, Science and Art, Reformatory and Industrial Schools, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, Employment and Emergency Schemes and Supplies. 4. J. B. Whelehan (Controller, Stationery Office), Dr. G. J. Furlong (Director, National Gallery), W. Smyth (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Micheál Breathnach (Secretary, Department of Education), Mr. E. J. MacLaughlin (Director, Special Employment Schemes Office) Mr. J. Leydon (Secretary, Department of Supplies), Mr. C. S. Almond, and Mr. L. M. Fitzgerald (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined. 5. The Committee adjourned at 1.10 p.m. till Thursday, 12th July, 1945. |
