IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.

THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Dé Céadaoin, 4ú Deireadh Fómhair, 1944.

Wednesday, 4th October, 1944.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies B. Brady, Breslin, Cosgrave, M. E. Dockrell, Gorry, Loughman, Lydon, MacEoin, M. O’Sullivan and Pattison.

3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1942-43 was taken up. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Office of Public Works, Public Works and Buildings, Haulbowline Dockyard, Office of the Minister for Justice, Gárda Síochána, Prisons, District Court, Supreme Court and High Court of Justice, Land Registry and Registry of Deeds, Circuit Court, and National Gallery.

4. Mr. J. Connolly (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. S. A. Roche (Secretary, Department of Justice), Dr. George J. Furlong (National Gallery), Mr. C. S. Almond, Mr. L. O Broin and Mr. L. M. Fitzgerald (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. The Committee adjourned at 12.30 p.m. till Thursday, 19th October, 1944.
