IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Déardaoin, 25adh Abrân, 1940.Thursday, 25th April, 1940.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputies Brian Brady, Brasier, Cole, Hogan, Hughes, Keyes, McMenamin, D. O’Briain, O’Loghlen, and O’Rourke. 3. Motion made (Deputy O’Rourke):— “That Deputy McMenamin be Chairman of this meeting of of the Committee.” Question put and agreed to. 4. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1938-39 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Public Record Office, External Affairs, League of Nations, Stationery and Printing, Dundrum Asylum, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Posts and Telegraphs, and Wireless Broadcasting. 5. Mr. J. F. Morrissey (Public Record Office), Mr. J. P. Walshe (Secretary, Department of External Affairs), Mr. J. B. Whelehan (Controller, Stationery Office), Dr. G. W. Scroope (Dundrum Asylum), Mr. W. Smyth (Secretary, Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. P. S. O’Hegarty (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. C. S. Almond, Mr. F. J. Feeney (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 6. The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. |
