THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Déardaoin, 18adh Abrân, 1940.

Thursday, 18th April, 1940.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies Brian Brady, Brasier, Cole, Hogan, Hughes, McMenamin, O’Loghlen, and O’Rourke.

3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1938-39 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Office of Public Works, Public Works and Buildings, Haulbowline Dockyard, Office of the Minister for Justice, Gárda Síochána, Prisons, District Court, Supreme Court and High Court of Justice, Land Registry and Registry of Deeds, Circuit Court.

4. Mr. Joseph Connolly (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works) and Mr. S. A. Roche (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. T. S. C. Dagg, Mr. C. S. Almond (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. The Committee adjourned at 12.30 p.m. till Thursday next.
