IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Déardaoin, 10adh Mí na Samhna, 1938.Thursday, 10th November, 1938.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputies Childers, Cole, Corry, Dillon, Keyes, McMenamin, D. O Briain, O’Loghlen, Smith and R. Walsh. 3. Motion made (Deputy Smith):— “That Deputy Dillon be Chairman of the Committee.” Question put and agreed to. Deputy Dillon took the Chair accordingly. 4. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1936-37 was taken up. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Public Record Office, Office of the Revenue Commissioners, Old Age Pensions, Compensation Bounties, Dundrum Asylum, Posts and Telegraphs, Wireless Broadcasting and National Gallery. 5. Mr. J. F. Morrissey (Public Record Office), Mr. W. O’Brien (Chairman, Revenue Commissioners), Dr. G. W. Scroope (Dundrum Asylum), Mr. P. S. O’Hegarty (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Dr. G. J. Furlong (National Gallery), Mr. T. S. C. Dagg, Mr. C. S. Almond, Mr. D. P. Shanagher, Mr. J. L. Lynd, Mr. O. J. Redmond (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 6. The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. till Thursday next. |
