PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE.

Déardaoin, 14adh Deire Fómhair, 1937.

Thursday, 14th October, 1937.

1. The Committee met at 5 p.m.


2. Present: The President of the Executive Council; the Minister for Industry and Commerce; the Minister for Agriculture; the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance; Deputies Anthony, Costello, Fitzgerald-Kenney, Kissane, Moore, Norton, W. O’Brien, J. M. O’Sullivan and Smith.


3. Deputy O’Brien proposed:—


“That the President of the Executive Council be Chairman of the Committee.”


Question put, and agreed to.


The President accordingly took the Chair.


4. Ordered: That, until further ordered, representatives of the Press be not admitted to meetings of the Committee.


5. Ordered: That, until further ordered, the proceedings of the Committee be not officially reported.


6. It was agreed that general proposals, alternative to those contained in the Bill, be made verbally to the Committee at its next meeting, and that the proposals should be committed to writing for consideration at the next following meeting.


7. The Committee adjourned at 6.10 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. on Thursday next.
