IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Dé Céadaoin, 2 Meitheamh, 1937.Wednesday, 2 June, 1937.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputies Beegan, T. Crowley, Goulding, Haslett, McMenamin, O Briain and Smith. 3. Motion made (Deputy Smith):— “That Deputy McMenamin be Chairman of this meeting of the Committee.” Question put and agreed to. Deputy McMenamin took the Chair accordingly. 4. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1935-36 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—External Affairs, League of Nations, Industry and Commerce, Transport Services, Railway Tribunal, Marine Service, Unemployment Insurance and Unemployment Assistance, Industrial and Commercial Property Registration Office, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Office of the Revenue Commissioners, Old Age Pensions, Compensation Bounties and National Gallery. 5. Mr. J. P. Walshe (Secretary, Department of External Affairs), Mr. J. Leydon (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. W. Smyth (Secretary, Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. W. D. Carey (Revenue Commissioner), Dr. G. J. Furlong (Director, National Gallery), Mr. T. S. C. Dagg, Mr. C. S. Almond and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 6. The Committee adjourned at 12.50 p.m. till Wednesday next. |
