PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Thursday, 6 June, 1935.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Present: Deputy Fitzgerald (in the Chair), Deputies T. Crowley, Keyes, Kissane, McMenamin, P. S. Murphy, O Briain, M. O’Reilly and Smith.


3. Consideration of the Appropriation accounts for the year 1933-34 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Posts and Telegraphs, Wireless Broadcasting, Army and Army Pensions.


4. Mr. P. S. O’Hegarty (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. J. S. Plaisted (Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. F. J. Feeney, Mr. O. J. Redmond (Department of Finance), Lieutenant-General Peadar Mac Mathghamhna (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. C. S. Almond and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.


5. The Committee adjourned at 1.20 p.m. till Thursday next.
