PROCEEDINGS OF THE SELECT COMMITTEE.

Thursday, 18th January, 1934.

1. The Select Committee met at 12 noon.


2. Present: Senator M. F. O’Hanlon (in the Chair) and Senators Sir Edward Coey Bigger, J. C. Counihan, Michael Duffy, J. T. O’Farrell, William Quirke and Richard Wilson.


3. Mr. Denis Barrett (late Assistant Commissioner, D.M.P., and Chairman of the South County Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) was examined.


4. The Committee adjourned from 1.40 p.m. until 3 p.m.


5. Mr. A. McLean, M.R.C.V.S., D.V.H. (City Veterinarian, Belfast) and Deputy-Commissioner Coogan (of the Gárda Síochána) were examined.


6. The Select Committee adjourned at 5.15 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, 25th January.
