PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 11.30 a.m.


2. Present: Senators Sir Edward Coey Bigger, S. L. Brown, K.C. Michael Duffy, P. J. Hooper Colonel Moore, M. F. O’Hanlon and Mrs. Wyse-Power.


3. Senator Sir Edward Coey Bigger moved:


“That Senator Brown be Chairman of the Committee.”


Question put, and agreed to.


4. The Committee took the Bill into consideration.


(1) Section 1.


Ordered: That the consideration of Section 1 be postponed until after the consideration of the Schedule.


(ii) Sections 2 to 11 inclusive agreed to.


(iii) Section 12.


Amendment proposed (Senator Sir Edward Coey Bigger):


Sub-section 2. To delete the word “March” in line 52 and to substitute therefor the word “July.”


Question put, and agreed to.


Section 12, as amended, agreed to.


(iv) Schedule.
