DAIL EIREANN.ORDERS OF REFERENCE.27th May, 1931.—Resolved: That it is expedient that a Joint Committee of the Dáil and the Seanad be set up to consider the Standing Orders relative to Private Business and to report as to the amendments, if any, which are necessary; That seven Deputies represent the Dáil on the said Joint Committee [Leas-Cheann Comhairle]. Ordered: That a Message be sent to the Seanad acquainting them ac cordingly. 4th June, 1931.—Message from the Seanad that the Seanad concurs with the Dáil in the afore-mentioned Resolution and that seven Senators would represent the Seanad on the said Joint Committee. Ordered: That a Joint Committee of the Dáil and the Seanad be set up to consider the Standing Orders relative to Private Business and to report as to the amendments, if any, which are necessary: That seven Deputies represent the Dáil on the said Joint Committee [Leas-Cheann Comhairle]. Ordered: That a Message be sent to the Seanad acquainting them accordingly. Ordered: That the Committee of Selection nominate seven Deputies to serve on the Joint Committee [Leas-Cheann Comhairle]. 12th June, 1931.—Deputies appointed to serve on the Joint Committee:— Deputies Bennett, Fahy, Finlay, Law, Little, Morrissey and Thrift. SEANAD EIREANN.ORDERS OF REFERENCE.3rd June, 1931.—Message from the Dáil—“Dáil Eireann has passed the following Resolution:— ‘That it is expendient that a Joint Committee of the Dáil and the Seanad be set up to consider the Standing Orders relative to Private Business and to report as to the amendments, if any, which are necessary; That Seven Deputies represent the Dáil on the said Joint Committee.”’ Resolved: That the Seanad agrees that it is expedient that a Joint Committee of the Dáil and the Seanad be set up to consider the Standing Orders relative to Private Business and to report as to the amendments, if any, which are necessary; That seven Senators represent the Seanad on the said Joint Committee [Senator Farren]. Ordered: That a Message be sent to the Dáil accordingly. 10th June, 1931—Message from the Dáil that the Dáil had ordered the setting up of a Joint Committee as aforesaid. Ordered: That a Joint Committee of the Seanad and the Dáil be set up to consider the Standing Orders relative to Private Business and to report as to the amendments, if any, which are necessary; That seven Senators represent the Seanad on the said Joint Committee [Leas-Chathaoirleach].
