IMEACHTA AN CHO-CHOISTE.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE.

1. Chruinnigh an Có-Choiste ar 11 a.m.

2. I láthair: Pádraig Hooper (i gCeannas); Tomás O hAonghusa, Seán Lemass, Tomás O Conaill, Diarmuid O Mathghamhna, Pádraig Mac Gabhann agus Liam Thrift, Teachtaí; Eibhlín Bean Mhic Coisdealbha, Tomás Mac Eoin, Mac Giolla Coda na gCruach, Seán O Maolruaidhe, Muiris O Mórdha agus Mícheál O hAnnluain, Seanadóirí.

3. Liuntaisi do Bhaill den Dail agus den tSeanad.

Do tháinig Fo-Chléireach an tSeanaid i láthair ar n-a iarraidh don Chó-Choiste go dtabharfadh sé colas dóibh i dtaobh láithreachtaí Ball an tSeanaid do chur ar breaca.

Tairisgint déanta (Liam Thrift):

“That the Committee is not satisfied as to the feasibility of any scheme involving diminution of allowances on account of the non-attendance of Members, but thinks that the question of each House establishing a procedure for dealing with special cases of protracted absence should be considered; that the Committee recommend that such procedure should involve the summoning to attend of the Member, failure to comply with this, without adequate explanation, being followed by withdrawal of allowance, either in whole or in part.”
