PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE.

Wednesday, 26th June, 1929.

1. The Special Committee met at 3 p.m.


2. Present: Senator P. W. Kenny (in the Chair), Sir Edward Coey Bigger, S. L. Brown, K.C., Michael Comyn, K. C., Thomas Johnson and M. F. O’Hanlon.


Dr. Dwyer, Commissioner acting for the Guardians of the Poor for the Dublin Union, was also present.


3. Senator Brown moved:


“That the Special Committee do recommend the enactment of a Bill to enable the Guardians of the Poor for the Dublin Union to grant such relief, pending the adoption of a county scheme, as they would be entitled to grant under Section 10 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923, if a county scheme had been adopted and was in operation, and that a Report of the Special Committee be prepared accordingly.”


Question put, and agreed to.
