IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE SPEISIALTA.PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE.Dé Céadaoin, 10° Abrán, 1929.Wednesday, 10th April, 1929.1. The Special Committee met at 12 noon. 2. Present: Senators J. C. Dowdall (in the Chair), Joseph Connolly, Henry S. Guinness, Thomas Linehan, Seán Milroy, John T. O’Farrell and Bernard O’Rourke. 3. The Special Committee deliberated. 4. Senator Guinness proposed that the Special Committee do recommend £1,200 per annum as the remuneration for the Cathaoirleach; Senator O’Rourke proposed £1,000 per annum as the remuneration for the Cathaoirleach. There being no further proposals, the Chairman put the question to the Special Committee. There voted for £1,200 per annum Senators Guinness, Linehan, Milroy and O’Farrell; for £1,000 per annum Senators Connolly and O’Rourke. The Special Committee accordingly decided to recommend £1,200 per annum as the remuneration for the Cathaoirleach. 5. Senator Milroy proposed that the Special Committee recommend £750 per annum as the remuneration for the Leas-Chathaoirleach. Question put, and agreed to. 6. The Special Committee decided to report accordingly. 7. The meeting terminated at 12.55 p.m. |
