ORDERS OF REFERENCE.19 October, 1927. Resolved by the Dáil: That it is expedient that a Joint Committee consisting of five members of the Dáil and five members of the Seanad be set up to assist and advise the Ceann Comhairle and the Cathaoirleach in the direction and control of the Oireachtas Restaurant [Parliamentary Secretary to the President]. Ordered: That a Message be sent to the Seanad acquainting them accordingly. 16 November, 1927. Resolved by the Seanad: That the Seanad agrees that it is expedient that a Joint Committee consisting of five members of the Dáil and five members of the Seanad be set up to assist and advise the Ceann Comhairle and the Cathaoirleach in the direction and control of the Oireachtas Restaurant: that the selection of the Seanad members be referred to the Committee of Selection: and that a Message be sent to the Dáil accordingly. 23 November, 1927. Ordered by the Dáil: That a Joint Committee, consisting of five members of the Dáil and five members of the Seanad be set up to assist and advise the Ceann Comhairle and the Cathaoirleach in the direction and control of the Oireachtas Restaurant: that a Message be sent to the Seanad acquainting them accordingly: that the Committee of Selection nominate five Deputies to serve on the Joint Committee. 30 November, 1927. Ordered by the Seanad: That a Joint Committee, consisting of five members of the Dáil and five members of the Seanad, be set up to assist and advise the Ceann Comhairle and the Cathaoirleach in the direction and control of the Oireachtas Restaurant. Committee nominated accordingly, consisting of:— 24 November, 1927. (1) Deputies S. Brady, A. Byrne, A. J. Cassidy, P. S. Doyle and White. 30 November, 1928. (2) Senators Farren, MacKean, Fanning, MacGuinness and Toal. 4 December, 1928. Deputy A. Byrne ceased to be a member of the Joint Committee on election to the Seanad. 27 February, 1929. Deputy Sir J.
