PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Wednesday, 21 November, 1828.

1. The Joint Committee met at 4 p.m.

2. Present: Senator Sir Bryan Mahon (in the Chair), Deputies Anthony, A. Byrne, Cooper, P. S. Doyle, MacEntee, Ruttledge, and Shaw; Senators Bennett, Foran, Molloy and Parkinson.

3. General Eoin O’Duffy (Commissioner, Gárda Síochána) was examined.

4. It was decided to invite the Executive Council of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, the President of the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation, a Justice of the District Court, and the Central Savings Committee to give evidence.

5. The Joint Committee adjourned at 5.55 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday next.
