SEANAD ÉIREANN.CÉAD TUARASGABHÁIL ÓN gCOISTE AR NÓS-IMEACHTA.1. Tháinig an Coiste le chéile ar an 10° Feabhra, 1927 chun breithniú do dhéanamh ar na nithe ar a dtráchtar sa dá thairisgint seo leanas, a chuir an Seanad chun an Choiste ar an 2° Feabhra, 1927:— 1. “That the Standing Orders be amended by the deletion of Standing Order 112 and the substitution of a new Standing Order 112 as follows:— ‘112. Any Standing Order or Orders of the Seanad may be suspended for any limited period or purpose on motion duly made and seconded where three clear days’ notice of the intention to move such motion shall have been given to the Clerk: provided always that where the Cathaoirleach is satisfied that it is a case of urgent necessity he may, with the assent of thirty members of the Seanad, permit a motion for the suspension of Standing Orders to be moved without notice’ ” (Senator Douglas). 2. “That the Standing Orders be amended by the insertion after Standing Order 80 of a new Standing Order 80a, as follows:— ‘80a. Save as specially provided in these Standing Orders, no communication or message, whether written or verbal, from any source whatever, may be read to or otherwise communicated to the Seanad while the Seanad is in session’ ” (Senator O’Farrell). 2. Bhí na baill seo leanas i láthair:—An Cathaoirleach (i gceannas), an Leas-Chathaoirleach agus Somhairle Brún, Aindrias Mac Séamais, Tomás O Luinhgeacháin, Muiris O Mórdha agus Siobhán Bean an Phaoraigh. 3. Maidir leis na nithe ar a dtráchtar sa chéad thairisgint do shocruigh an Coiste d’aon-ghuth an ní seo leanas do mhola don tSeanad:— That the Standing Orders be amended by the deletion of Standing Order 112 and the substitution therefor of a new Standing Order 112 as follows:— “112. Any Standing Order or Orders of the Seanad may be suspended for a limited period and purpose on motion duly made and seconded after the prescribed notice: provided that in any case of national emergency, of which the Cathaoirleach shall be the judge, a motion for the suspension of a Standing Order or Orders may be moved without notice.” 4. Do socruíodh ar bhreithniú na nithe ar a dtráchtar sa dara tairisgint do chur ar ath-ló go dtí cruinniú eile den Choiste, nuair a chuirfeadh an Cathaoirleach dreacht de Bhuan-Ordú nua a moladh os cóir an Choiste.
