SPECIAL REPORT OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON THE RAILWAYS (EXISTING OFFICERS AND SERVANTS) BILL, 1926.

1. Chruinnigh an Coiste Speisialta ar an 6adh Bealtaine, 1926, agus tar éis Ordú na Dála dar dáta 29adh Abrán, 1926, do bhreithniú d’aontuíodar, toisc nadúir na leasuithe a bhí curtha isteach, gur Bille an ceann atá luaidhte thuas is fearr a fhéadfí a bhreithniú ag Coiste den Dáil uile ná ag Coiste Speisialta.

2. Chinn an Coiste Speisialta dá réir sin ar a mhola go gcuirfí ar ceal an tOrdú san ag cur an Bhille chun Coiste Speisialta.

1. Do tháinig an Coiste le chéile ar 11 a.m.

2. Bhí na baill seo leanas i láthair:—An tAire Tionnscail agus Tráchtála, Tomás O hAonghusa, Liam O Daimhín, Tomás Mac Eoin, Liam O Neachtain, Máirtín O Rodaigh, Donnchadh O Guaire, Risteárd Mac Liam, Séamus O Dóláin, Peadar O Dubhghaill, Mícheál O hIfearnáin, Pádraig Mag Ualghairg agus Liam Mag Aonghusa.

3. Do thairg Tomás O hAonghusa:

“That Deputy Roddy be Chairman of the Committee.”

4. Do chrom an Coiste ar bhreithniú do dhéanamh ar Ordú na Dála ag cur an Bhille chun an Choiste Speisialta.

Do thairg Donnchadh O Guaire:

“That the Special Committee is of opinion, in view of the nature of the amendments tabled, that the Railways (Existing Officers and Servants) Bill, 1926, is one which can be more suitably considered by a Committee of the whole Dáil than by a Special Committee.”

5. Dreacht-Thuarasgabháil Speisialta a chuir an Cathaoirleach fé bhráid an Choiste léighte mar leanas:—

1. The Special Committee met on the 6th May, 1926, and having taken the Order of the Dáil dated 29th April, 1926, into consideration, agreed, in view of the nature of the amendments tabled, that the above-mentioned Bill is one which can be more suitably considered by a Committee of the whole Dáil than by a Special Committee.

2. The Special Committee accordingly decided to recommend that the said Order referring the Bill to a Special Committee be discharged.

“That the Draft Special Report be adopted as the Special Report of the Committee.”
