1.The Committee met at 2.10 p.m.

2.Members Present.

The following Members were present:

Deputies Ulick Burke, Pat Carey, Bernard J. Durkan (in the Chair), Tony Gregory, Séan Haughey, John McGuinness, Gay Mitchell, Seán Power and Jack Wall and Senators Willie Farrell (in substitution for Senator Paddy McGowan), Camillus Glynn (in substitution for Don Lydon) and Brendan Ryan.

3.Report on Economic and Monetary Union.

The Chairman brought forward a second interim report on “Economic and Monetary Union” which was read and agreed.

Ordered: To report accordingly.

4.Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 2.28 p.m. until Thursday, 1st July, 1999.
