1.The Committee met at 3.14 p.m.

2.Members Present.

The following Members were present:

Deputies Ulick Burke, Pat Carey, Bernard J. Durkan (in the Chair), Tony Gregory, John McGuinness, Gay Mitchell, Noel O’Flynn (in substitution for Deputy Michael Collins) and Seán Power and Senators Willie Farrell (in substitution for Senator Paddy McGowan), Helen Keogh, Don Lydon, Maurice Manning and Brendan Ryan.

3.Report on Economic and Monetary Union.

Deputy Gay Mitchell brought forward a report on “Economic and Monetary Union” which was read and agreed.

Ordered: To report accordingly.
