1.The Committee met at 11.10am.

2.Members Present:-

Deputy J.Mitchell (in the Chair), Deputies T.Broughan, B.Durkan, D.Foley, B.O’Keeffe, D.O’Malley, P.Rabbitte.

3.The Committee went into private session.

4.Chairman’s Draft Interim Report on the Appropriation Accounts 1992.

The Chairman brought forward a Draft Interim Report for consideration.

Draft Report agreed to.

Ordered: To report to the Dáil accordingly.

5.Chairman’s Draft Special Report on Bovine Tuberculosis Eradication.

The Chairman brought forward a Draft Report for consideration.

Draft Report agreed to.

Ordered: To report to the Dáil accordingly.

6.Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1992.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1992 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:-

President’s Establishment, Office of the Minister for Finance, Secret Service, Superannuation and Retired Allowances, Increases in Remuneration and Pensions, Contingency Fund Deposit Account, Office of Public Works.

7.Project Audit Report on Decentralisation.

Examination on the Report was completed.

8.Witnesses Examined:-

Mr. S. Cromien (Secretary, Department of Finance), Mr. J. Mahony (Chairman, Office of Public Works), The Comptroller & Auditor General.

9.Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.10pm until 11am on Thursday 26 May 1994.
