10. PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

The Committee held five meetings between 24 March 1992 and 28 April 1992 to discuss the further civilianisation of the Garda Siochana. On 19 May a sub-committee comprised of Deputies M. Quill, J. Stafford, and P. McCartan, was set up to frame this report and met on 26 May, 25 June, 2 July and 9 July.

At its meeting on 9 July 1992 the sub-committee agreed to this Report. At its meeting on 16 July, 1992 the Select Committee adopted this Report.
