LOCATION OF NATIONAL BASKETBALL CENTRE, MAJOR REGIONAL AND LOCAL SPORTS CENTRES.

The National Basketball Centre is to be located in Tallaght, County Dublin. It will also function as a Community Centre.

The major Regional Sports Centres have been designated for the following locations:

Regional Sports Centres	Projects
Athlone	Multi-purpose Sports Centre comprising large hall, ancillary hall, squash courts, and other ancillary facilities.
Cork	25 metre swimming pool complex with ancillary indoor facilities.
Galway	400 metre synthetic athletic track with infield playing pitch and other leisure facilities.
Limerick	National Coaching and Training Centre attached to Thomond College.
Sligo	25 metre swimming pool with spectator facilities adjacent to existing sports complex at Cleveragh.
Waterford	400 metre synthetic running track with ancillary outdoor facilities.

A total of twenty-eight projects are proposed in the eighteen Local Sports Centres. The projects and their proposed locations are as follows:

	Skibbereen Sports Hall.
Donegal	Multi-purpose Sports Centre and athletic track at Stranorlar/Ballybofey
Dundalk	Extension to Sports Centre.
	Bush Athletic Club — athletic track.
Kilkenny	All-weather athletic track, car parking etc.
Killarney	Caherciveen G.A.A.
	Improvements to pitch & changing/showering facilities.
	Fitzgerald Stadium
	Major renovation of existing facilities.
	St. Brendan’s College
	Improvements and renovations to Sports Centre.
Longford	Renovations to existing Mall Sports Complex.
	Longford Golf Club
	Improvements to existing Golf Course
	Longford Town Football Club
	Pitch development and changing rooms.
Monaghan	Carrickmacross
	Sports Centre.
	Monaghan G.A.A./Phoenix A.C.
	Provision of all-weather pitch & running track.
	Monaghan United F.C.
	Clubhouse.
Naas	Multi-purpose sports facility and ancillary accommodation.
Nenagh	Indoor athletics arena — Provision of synthetic surface and equipment.
	Nenagh Showgrounds
	Renovations and extension to private multi-purpose indoor arena.
Portmarnock	Sports Hall.
Shannon	Ennis Youth Centre.
	Sports Centre.
Tralee	Extension to Sports Centre.
Tullamore	Improvements to track, provision of electronic training equipment and other athletic equipment.
Wexford	All-weather athletic track, pitches, changing rooms, etc.
