1. The Committee met at 4.00 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following Members were present:—

Senator Tom Fitzgerald (in the Chair), Deputies Mary Coughlan, Michael D. Higgins, Denis McGinley, John O’Donoghue, Máirín Quill, Senators Peter Kelleher and Nicholas O’Connor.

3. DRAFT REPORT REGARDING THE SURVEY AMONGST THE Members of the HOUSES OF THE Oireachtas in connection with the Irish Language.

The Chairman brought forward a Draft Report which was read as follows:

(i) Paragraphs 1.1.1 to 4.4.6, inclusive, agreed to.
