1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy G. Mitchell (in the Chair), Deputies M. Ahern, A. Colley, K. Crotty, N. Dempsey, B. Desmond, D. Foley, M. P. Kitt and L. Naughten.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1984.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1984 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Houses of the Oireachtas and the European Assembly, Valuation and Ordnance Survey.

Further consideration of the following Account was adjourned:—

Office of the Minister for Finance.

4. Witnesses Examined.

The following witnesses were examined: Mr. E. Rayel (Clerk of the Dáil), Mr. J. Arthur (Commissioner of Valuation, Valuation Office), Mr. S. Cromien (Secretary, Department of Finance), Mr. P. L. McDonnell (Comptroller and Auditor General).

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday 23 September, 1987.
