PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE

1. The Joint Committee met at 4 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following Members were present:

Senator FitzGerald (in the Chair), Deputies Cogan, Filgate and J. Walsh;

Senators Molony and Mulcahy.

3. Draft Report on Fourteen Statutory Instruments.

Senator Molony brought forward a Draft Report which was read as follow:—

(i) Paragraphs 1 to 4, inclusive, agreed to.

(ii) Paragraph 5.

Amendment proposed (Senator Molony):

“In line 10 to delete ‘this is not effected’ and substitute ‘an undertaking to this effect is not given within two weeks by the Department’.”

Amendment agreed to.

(iii) Paragraphs 6 to 12, inclusive, agreed to.

(iv) Appendices I to IV, inclusive, agreed to.

Draft Report, as amended, agreed to.

Ordered: To report accordingly.
