REPORT

1. Subsequent to the Committee’s interim report of 18th July, 1979, and following agreement between the Whips, the Dáil, by resolution of 23rd April, 1980, agreed to an interim arrangement providing for an additional sitting of the Dáil each week on Friday in the period up to and including the 27th June, 1980 which would be devoted exclusively to the consideration of Estimates.

2. This arrangement will be the subject of further review by the Whips in the Autumn and, in the new circumstances, the Committee defers further consideration of the matter referred to it by the Dáil on 13th February, 1979.
