The Joint Committee met at 4 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:

Senator Patrick M. Cooney (in the Chair); Deputies Barry Desmond, James N. Fitzsimons, William Kenneally, Liam Lawlor, and William O’Brien.

Senator Eoin Ryan took the Chair at 4.30 p.m.

6. Witnesses Examined.

The following witnesses were examined:

Mr. Noel Sweeney (Group Manager, Marketing Services) and Mr. Patrick Gleeson (Manager, Access Transport) of Bord Fáilte Éireann; Mr. Christopher Kirwan (Senior Official, Transport) and Mr. Eamon Griffin (President, Civil Aviation Branch, Dublin) of the Irish Transport & General Workers Union. Mr. Paul Boushell (Chairman, No. 12 Branch), Mr. Frank O’Malley (Secretary, No. 12 Branch) and Ms. Josephine Walsh (ex-Vice Chairperson, No. 12 Branch) of the Federated Workers Union of Ireland.

The Joint Committee adjourned at 6.15 p.m.
