The formal credit terms given are as follows:

Food	30 days
Sugar Home	Cash with order / 7, 14, 21 days and monthly
Northern Ireland	30 days
Agricultural Trading	30 days (Ground Limestone 6 months)
Growers	6 months

3. Research and Development

The Company has a Research and Development establishment at Carlow and currently spends £1.3 million on R. & D.—just 1 per cent of turnover.

Of the total £103,000 is paid to An Foras Talúntais and £87,000 to the Hilleshog seed breed station in Sweden.
