LETTER TO CLERK TO JOINT COMMITTEE FROM CASTLEBAR URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

I am to refer to your letter dated 14th November, 1979 and I am to state as follows:

(a) The present system is satisfactory. The scheme now under construction in Castlebar is well advanced in spite of adverse weather conditions.

(b & c) Consultation is satisfactory and attention paid by National Building Agency is sufficient to keep all parties in touch with schemes.

(d) Supervision is now to our satisfaction. There is a vast improvement in this regard on recent schemes. The take over procedures meet our requirements fully.

(e) Housing construction is now to a high standard. In the past, this was not so, but the National Building Agency moved quickly in putting faults right.

I trust the above submission will prove of interest to you.
