1. The Joint Committee met at 4.20 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following Members were present:

Senator FitzGerald (in the Chair), Deputies O’Keeffe and Smith; Senators Conroy, Hussey, Molony, Mulcahy and Robinson.

13. Draft Report on Export Refunds, Aid for Use of Butter in Industrial Fish Preparations and Coordination of Research into Quality and Nutritive Value of Food.

Deputy Smith brought forward a Draft Report which was read as follows:—

(i) Paragraph 1 agreed to.

(ii) Paragraph 2.

Amendment proposed (Senator FitzGerald):

“To add after the first sentence in paragraph 2 the following:

‘The Joint Committee is indebted to Deputy Smith and his SubCommittee for their work’.”

Amendment agreed to.

Paragraph, as amended, agreed to.

(iii) Paragraphs 3 to 16, inclusive, agreed to.

Draft Report, as amended, agreed to.
