PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE

1. The Joint Committee met at 4.20 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following Members were present:

Senator FitzGerald (in the Chair), Deputies O’Keeffe and Smith; Senators Conroy, Hussey, Molony, Mulcahy and Robinson.

10. Draft Report on Customs Declarations.

Senator Mulcahy brought forward a Draft Report which was read as follows:—

(i) Paragraph 1 agreed to.

(ii) Paragraph 2.

Amendment proposed (Senator FitzGerald):

“To add after the first sentence in paragraph 2 the following:

‘The Joint Committee is indebted to Senator Mulcahy and his SubCommittee for their work’.”

Amendment agreed to.

Paragraph, as amended, agreed to.

(iii) Paragraphs 3 to 15, inclusive, agreed to.

Draft Report, as amended, agreed to.

Ordered: To report accordingly.
