1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present

The following members were present:—

Deputy O’Toole (in the Chair), Deputies N. Andrews, Belton, V. Brady, V. de Valera, Kerrigan, Morley and C. Murphy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1975

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the period 1 January 1975 to 31 December 1975 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Department of the Taoiseach, An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Law Charges, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Central Statistics Office, Local Government.

4. Witnesses Examined

Mr. D. Ó Suilleabháin (Secretary, Department of the Taoiseach), Mr. D. Quigley (Senior Legal Assistant, Office of the Attorney General), Mr. S. O’Leary (Legal Assistant, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions), Mr. T. P. Linehan (Director, Central Statistics Office), Mr. G. A. Meagher (Secretary, Department of the Environment) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 12.55 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
